On May 27, the Department of Education issued the Most Essential Learning Competencies (MELCs) to serve as a reference for all schools (public and private), school division offices (SDOs) and Regional Offices (RO) so they can determine and know how to implement different learning delivery approaches depending on their local situation and learner's access to delivery approaches.
MELCs serve as a guide for schools and teachers on creating activity sheets, module and other instructional learning materials. DepEd advises schools to follow the content of the MELCs.
